A brief introduction to the Beijing Kazak Festival:
Applicant: Dongxing City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region
The Jing people mainly live in wanwei, Wutou and Shanxin islands in Dongxing City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. They are located in the southwest part of China's mainland coastline, across the sea from Vietnam.
Ha Festival is the most solemn festival of Jing nationality, also known as "singing ha Festival". "Ha" is a transliteration of Beijing language, which means "song". The date of HA Festival is different in different places, such as the 10th day of June, the 10th day of August, or the 15th day of the first month of the lunar calendar. All over the world, there are special buildings for HA festival activities - ha ting. The festival consists of ancestor worship, rural drinking, social intercourse and entertainment. There are many folk legends about ha Festival, among which the more representative one says that in ancient times, a singer came to the three islands of the Jing nationality and mobilized the masses to fight against feudal oppression in the name of singing. Her singing touched many people. In memory of her, later generations set up "hating", where they regularly sang songs and gradually became a festival custom. Hating in each village is the center of festival activities.
The festival lasted for three days, singing and dancing all night. People of all ethnic groups around also came to celebrate together. There are three protagonists singing ha, one male singer, called "Ha Ge", who specializes in piano accompaniment. The two female singers are "Ha Mei", one with two bamboo boards, the other with a bamboo clapper, accompaniment of percussion, singing in turn. The content of the song includes folklore, philosophical stories, love stories and so on. In the sound of gongs and drums, girls often dance on the stage, and the most distinctive one is "overhead Lantern Dance". The dancer has a porcelain bowl on his head, a tray on top of the bowl, a candle on the plate, and a wine glass in both hands. When singing and dancing, three candles can't be extinguished. If there are many people dancing this dance, the candlelight in the eyes will twinkle, beautiful and moving.
After nearly 500 years of development and evolution, the HA festival of Jing nationality is the concentrated embodiment of the traditional culture of Jing nationality.
