Jiaxing Dragon Boat Festival is an important folk activity of traditional festivals, which started in memory of Wu Zixu, a famous general of China in the late spring and Autumn period. Jiaxing people have the saying that "on May 5, the time to welcome Wu Jun", so they have to hold activities such as sacrificing Wu Zixu. Since the Ming Dynasty, local records have continued.

Jiaxing Dragon Boat Festival is characterized by grand festivals and diverse customs.
