Introduction to Tibetan Layi
Applicant: Hainan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province
Tibetans are divided into three dialectal areas: Wei Zang, Kangba, Anduo, which form three cultural characteristic areas combined with the terrain. Layi is a kind of folk song art which is spread in Qinghai, Gansu, Sichuan and other Tibetan areas of Anduo dialect. Its distribution is centered on the area around Qinghai Lake and the Yellow River Basin (Hainan and Huangnan).
Lai was born out of Tibetan folk songs. The division of three Tibetan areas in the 7th century promoted the wide spread of Lai in Anduo Tibetan area of "lower DUOKANG".
There are many kinds and a large number of Rai, and the content involves all aspects of love life. The complete songs have certain procedures, such as leading songs, greeting songs, love songs, love songs, love songs, opposite songs, separation songs and tail songs. Due to different regions, Lai's tunes form a variety of styles. Some emphasize the language of music and have a relatively compact rhythm; some have deep and melodious melody, forming a free and graceful style of long folk songs; some have sweet melody and regular rhythm, forming an elegant and dignified lyric style.
Lai has a long history, which is synchronized with the growth of the Tibetan nation. It carries the creativity and Inspiration of the nation and is of great value in anthropology, ethnology, folklore and other studies. Rai not only shows the distinctive regional characteristics and unique artistic style, but also reflects the unique and important cultural value with its rich forms of expression.
