Liangping bamboo curtain weaving technique is popular in Liangping County, Chongqing. It is said that it originated in the Song Dynasty and has a history of more than 1000 years. There are many kinds of bamboo curtains in Liangping, which can be divided into two main categories: Suxin and tangxin. After weaving, the pure heart bamboo curtain only has a clear oil, no longer has other background color. Tangxin bamboo curtain is made of tung oil and lithopone with a white base on the painting part of Suxin bamboo curtain. From the perspective of its use, Liangping bamboo curtain has many varieties, such as strip screen, Tongjing screen, Luohan screen, nave, tuixin, hengtui, Doufang, screen, couplet, certificate, letter plug, embroidered curtain, door curtain, lampshade, etc. in recent years, some craftsmen have made daily necessities such as satchels, fans, slippers, etc. by using bamboo weaving techniques. According to the form of expression, Liangping bamboo curtain can be divided into three categories: Painted curtain, embroidered curtain and woven velvet curtain.

Liangping bamboo curtain is exquisitely made. The weaving process is improved from the flat loom production technology. The shuttle used for weaving is changed into a weaving gun with a diameter of about 4cm, in which bamboo filaments are placed and woven back and forth. Therefore, the production efficiency of bamboo curtain is greatly improved. Liangping bamboo curtain not only has a wide range of applicability, but also has a high ornamental and decorative, it is flexible, delicate and smooth, simple and generous appearance, durable, and can be folded, very convenient to carry.

The development of Liangping bamboo curtain is in a dilemma. There are some problems, such as less employees, aging artists and lack of successors, which need to be solved seriously.
