Jishan Gaotai Huagu is a very popular traditional dance in Jishan county. It is famous in Wubi, Tongshang, Dongpu, Xiwei, Sizhuang and other places.

The outstanding feature of flower drum on Jishan high platform is that the dancers perform flower drum dance on the high platform set up by several square tables, which is difficult and highly ornamental. The dance routines include "playing on the stage", "playing on the bench", "playing on the high platform", "playing on the high platform", "playing on the chest drum", "beating around the waist", etc. The Huagu songs interspersed with Huagu are also of local characteristics. They are all from folk tunes. They also have the flavor of Northern Shaanxi folk songs and "Meihu opera". The melody is lyrical and long-lasting.

In addition to performing in sacrificial ceremony and social fire, Jishan flower drum also performs in yard stepping, backstage making, full moon congratulation, sending recruits and other occasions for blessing and congratulation.

In the past, there were flower drum performances in Jishan county's new year's Day villages, and artists with unique skills emerged one after another. At present, the flower drum of Jishan Gaotai is still popular in only a few villages, and the inheritance situation is not optimistic.
