Lin's family of bone injuries, whose ancestor is Lin Danian, is located in Panyu Township, Gaishan Town, Cangshan District, Fuzhou City. Linda (1837 - 1913) learned from Shaolin Temple old fellow iron bead monk from the hometown of Gao Gu mountain in his hometown, and learned from Shaolin Kung Fu and orthopedics. After years of continuous learning and practice, he became a famous doctor of bone injury in Fuzhou.

Lin Danian passed on the skills of orthopedics to his descendants, among which his grandson Lin Rugao was the most outstanding. Lin Rugao inherited and developed Lin's orthopedic skills in an all-round way. For decades, countless orthopedic patients have been cured. During the cultural revolution, general Luo Ruiqing was persecuted and injured in his leg. In 1975, he came to Fuzhou to ask Lin Rugao for treatment. After more than a year of careful treatment, general Luo's leg injury improved significantly. In addition, he also cured bone diseases for Wang Zhen, Wan Li, ye Fei and other central leaders, which made him famous in Beijing.

Lin's orthopedics of traditional Chinese medicine has unique features in the diagnosis, reduction, fixation, exercise and internal and external medication of various diseases of bone injury. His academic thought and clinical experience are mainly reflected in: 1. 2. Trace back to the origin and be good at treating tendon injuries. 3. Expound the cause of Bi syndrome and advocate dialectical treatment. 4. Discuss the etiology and pathogenesis of flaccidity, and advocate treating flaccidity only with Yangming.

In accordance with Premier Zhou Enlai's instructions on "sorting out Lin Rugao's medical experience, leaving it to future generations and serving the people", Fujian Provincial Department of health successively sent people to sort out Lin Rugao's bone setting experience. In 1977, he published more than 80 academic papers, including Lin Rugao's prescriptions, thirty-six methods of practicing martial arts, Lin Rugao's dressing method for bone injuries, selected materials for bone injuries, and so on.
