Shanghai style jade carving is another name for Shanghai jade carving. It was founded in 1843 of the Qing Dynasty. Together with the "north school", "Yang School" and "south school", it has become the four major schools of Chinese jade carving.
Shanghai style jade carving has fully inherited the craft tradition of Chinese jade carving in terms of crafts, tools, materials and techniques, and has left a large number of exquisite jade carvings in history. Shanghai style jade carving inherits the ancient Chinese jade making skills, adapts to the characteristics of different periods and products, and gradually forms the cultural characteristics of Shanghai style jade carving.
