Quxian bamboo weaving technology takes Qujiang town as the center and spreads in Quxian. Quxian county is located in the northeast of Sichuan Province. It has a mild climate, abundant rainfall and abundant products, especially Neosinocalamus affinis, which provides high-quality raw materials for bamboo weaving.

The history of bamboo weaving in Quxian county can be traced back to more than 2300 years ago. The ancient people living in this area began to use bamboo to weave labor tools and daily utensils. By the Tang Dynasty, bamboo weaving in Quxian county was very developed. In daily production and life, people used bamboo weaving products everywhere, such as living in bamboo houses, sitting in bamboo chairs, carrying bamboo baskets, wearing bamboo hats and holding bamboo fans. After entering the Qing Dynasty, Quxian's bamboo palace fans and thin bamboo mats became famous and were listed as tribute by the imperial court.
