Jizhong Sheng wind music is popular in nearly 30 counties and cities south of Beijing, west of Tianjin and north of Cangzhou and Dingzhou. It is a unique type of percussion music in Jizhong plain. It is commonly known as "concert" among the people. It is also known as "Sheng wind music" because it is mainly played by Guan and Sheng. In addition to Sheng, pipe, flute and other wind instruments, Jizhong Sheng wind instruments also use cloud Gong, drum, cymbal, cymbal, Dangdang and other percussion instruments. The music of Sheng Guan music is divided into three categories: Suite, ditty and independent percussion music. The suite is a major part of the whole playing repertoire because of its long length and complex structure. Jizhong Sheng wind music is spread all over the whole Jizhong plain. Farmers in this area take the village as a unit to perform in local folk activities such as sacrifice and funeral, and inherit it from generation to generation in their own unique way.
Xiaofeng village concert, which is popular in Qugou Township, Gu'an County, Langfang City, Hebei Province, is a kind of folk music used for sacrifice and funeral ceremony. It was founded in Hongwu Period of Ming Dynasty and is commonly known as "daoyue" because it is passed down by Taoism. The music score of xiaofengcun concert uses ten notes of "four on one, six on five, all in one". At the same time, it uses the techniques of tone changing, yin and Yang tone changing and the unpredictable "nakou" backing tone, which makes the music more melodious and outstanding.
Xiaofeng village concert is performed in Dagong tune (B flat). Its music is composed of two parts: traditional tunes and its own unique repertoire. It involves sacrificial rites, Daochang norms, stories and legends, feudal patriarchal clan system, military and political affairs, natural ecology, seasons, animals, scenery and people's deeds. At present, there are still 9 Divertimento, 6 dabanqu and more than 30 ditty . The musical instruments used in the concert include small pipe, Sheng, flute, bell, cloud Gong, wooden fish, small cymbal, etc. in addition, percussion instruments such as drum, dangzi, big cymbal, big cymbal and small cymbal are also used. The whole performance lineup consists of eight branch pipes, eight flutes, eight save Sheng, two cloud gongs, one wooden fish, one bell and a full set of percussion instruments. More than 30 people participate in the performance, with a huge lineup The magnificent artistic features. The representative music of Xiaofeng village concert includes suite "Yanhui", "xiaohuayuan", "scolding Yulang" and so on.
Xiaofeng village concert is inherited and continued in the folk in a unique way, which contains rich folk culture information, and provides a lot of valuable materials for the study of folklore, ethnomusicology and music history. Nowadays, the traditional way of life and national culture are gradually changing. Under this background, the survival, development and inheritance of Xiaofeng village concert are not optimistic, and it needs to be protected and supported by the relevant parties.
