[plant morphology] Sedum lushanense

Perennial herbs, 30-50 cm high. Stem oblique, glabrous, nodes sometimes expanded. Leaves alternate, 2-row, sessile; leaves oblong or obovate oblong, 5-12 cm long and 2-4 cm wide, apex acute, caudate, base obliquely semicircular, asymmetric, margin coarsely serrate above middle, densely covered with adnexal hairs above, glabrous below. Flowers unisexual, dioecious; male flowers clustered cephalic, inflorescence petiolate; female flowers 8-12 cluster cephalic, inflorescence sessile, involucre lanceolate linear; male flowers sepals 4-5, stamens the same number, opposite sepals; female flowers sepals 3-5, tiny and persistent, pistil 1, stigma brush. Achenes small, ovate. The flowering period is from May to July. The fruit period is from September to October.

It grows under trees, ditches and weeds in the wet foothills. It is distributed in East China and central China.
