Introduction to Taijiquan (Wu's Taijiquan)
Applicant: Yongnian County, Hebei Province
Yongnian Wu's Taijiquan originated in Xianfeng and Tongzhi years of the Qing Dynasty. It was created by Wu Yuxiang, a native of Guangfu East Street in Yongnian, Hebei Province. It has a history of more than 100 years.
Wu's Taijiquan combines Chen's new frame with Chen's old frame, and combines Yang luchan's "big action" with Chen's "small action". When practicing Taijiquan, we attach importance to body method, opening and closing the void and the real, moving Qi with heart and moving body with Qi. Its movements are simple, compact, slow and stable. Although its posture is small, it is not cramped. The forward and backward rotation of the chest and abdomen is always in the middle and right position. Its footwork is strict, and its virtual and real position is clear. It is small and flexible. The body method of Wu's Taijiquan mainly includes chest pulling, crotch wrapping, dozing, lifting, crotch hanging, elbow sinking, tail middle, etc. the boxing style emphasizes starting, bearing, opening and closing. It stresses "reciprocating must have folding, advance and retreat must have conversion", and strives for the unity of meaning, Qi and form.
Taijiquan is a perfect combination of the dialectical theoretical thinking of the Chinese nation and the guidance of martial arts, art and Qigong. It is a high-level human body culture. Its boxing theory comes from the classic works of traditional Chinese philosophy, medicine and martial arts such as the book of changes, Huangdi Neijing, Huangting Jing and Jixiao Xinshu, and has absorbed the reasonable contents of Taoism, Confucianism and Buddhism in the long-term development process, which is known as the "quintessence of Chinese culture". Taijiquan is both natural and elegant. It can not only strengthen the body, but also has a good effect on the prevention and treatment of senile wrestling, hypertension, heart disease, lung disease, hepatitis, joint disease, gastrointestinal disease, nerve failure and other chronic diseases. For more than a hundred years, Wu's Taijiquan, as a cultural treasure of the Chinese nation, has been increasingly loved by the people of China and the world. In addition, Wu, the founder of Wu's Taijiquan, was born in the family of officials and gentry. He didn't take boxing as a profession, rarely taught apprentices, and emphasized self entertainment and self-study. Although he had his own family, it was not widely spread and needed to be protected.
