Yi People's vegetable dancing, also known as "Taicai dance" and "wuqieba" in Yi language, is a kind of ritual custom dance in Nanjian Yi Autonomous County of Yunnan Province. It originated from the ancient sacrifice, and has been spread in the Yi nationality area of Nanjian for a long time. In order to respect the guests and increase the festive atmosphere, Yi people often dance this kind of dance when they hold banquets and serve dishes. With the accompaniment of "Fengsheng music", the dancers hold the tray or tray to dance, and most of the dancing postures are revolving, the sleeves are rotating, and the postures are various, sometimes vigorous, sometimes dancing.
There are two common types of Yi People's skipping dishes: "skipping between meals" and "performing skipping dishes". The "performing skipping dishes" is based on "skipping between meals", and the main dance steps are various singing steps spread in Nanjian. According to the different ways of lifting dishes, "skipping dishes between meals" can be divided into three forms, which are relatively independent and have overall performance: "head skill skipping dishes", "mouth skill skipping dishes" and "hand skill skipping dishes". According to the different performance styles, "performance tiaochei" can be divided into "Wuliang Mountain Heiyi tiaochei", "Ailao Mountain Heiyi tiaochei" and "Wuliang Township Hongxing Village Bai Yi tiaochei"; according to the different performance venues, it can be divided into "stage tiaochei" and "square tiaochei". "Stage skipping" is a kind of skipping performed on the stage. The actors are usually about 20, with bold and bold dance movements, vigorous and powerful, and loud and clear voice. "Square skipping" has a wide performance space, with less than 10 actors and more than hundreds of actors, presenting a grand, neat and harmonious artistic effect.
