Huankou town belongs to Fengxian County of Xuzhou City. Located in the northwest of Jiangsu Province, Huankou town is a key center town of Xuzhou City and one of the top 100 towns in Jiangsu Province.

It is 22 kilometers away from Fengxian County and 80 kilometers away from Xuzhou. Located at the junction of two provinces and three counties, it borders Yutai, Shandong Province in the north, Longgu Town, Peixian County in the East and Shizhai Town, Fengxian County in the south.

Historical evolution

Huankou was subordinate to Fengxian County for a long time in history. Before 1937, Huankou was the Second District of Fengxian County. In 1945, it was divided into Fengtun district (South District 2) and Huankou district (North District 2) and belonged to Peixian county. In 1949, it was changed into Huankou district and returned to Fengxian County, belonging to Pingyuan province. Later, Pingyuan province was abolished and transferred to Shandong Province. In 1950, Huankou district was changed into the ninth district. In the summer of 1953, it was transferred to Jiangsu Province. In November 1955, it was changed from nine districts to Huankou district.
