Zimian town

Zimian town is located in the southeast of Youxian District, 56 kilometers away from the city. It is adjacent to Yuhe town in the East, Zhongtai town in Santai County in the west, BaiChan town in the South and Liujia town in the north. It has a subtropical humid monsoon climate. Covering an area of 21.99 square kilometers, it has jurisdiction over 10 administrative villages, 1 town community neighborhood committee, 76 agricultural production cooperatives, with a total population of 7824 (2017), a total cultivated land area of 13935 mu, and a conversion area of 200 mu. It mainly produces rice, wheat, rape and other cash crops. It is a typical hilly agricultural township with beautiful scenery and convenient transportation. On December 26, 2019, the people's Government of Sichuan Province approved the adjustment of administrative divisions of some towns in Youxian District of Mianyang City. Yuhe Town, Zimian town and BaiChan town were abolished and Yanquan town was established. The administrative area of Yanquan town was the administrative area of Yuhe Town, Zimian town and BaiChan town. The people's Government of Yanquan town was located at No. 18 wusheng street.   

Evolution of organizational system

Zimian town is named after zimanya. It is said that the original name of the local area was sister ya. Because it is located at the junction of Mianyang and Santai (Zizhou), it is used to be called as Zimian (Mian) ya. In 1951, the land reform was completed, the democratic government was established, and Zimian township was established. In 1958, Zimian people's commune was established. in 1967, it was renamed peak commune during the cultural revolution. In 1978, it was renamed Zimian commune. In 1984, the commune system was abolished and Zimian township was established again. It belongs to Liujia district. in 1992, the district was removed and the town was built and merged into Liujia town. In 1996, Zimian was designated as Zimian township. In 2015, Zimian town was established. In 2019, Yuhe Town, Zimian town and BaiChan town will be merged to establish Yanquan town.

economic development

With the guiding ideology of "focusing on the leading group, competing for projects, strengthening the foundation, attacking industry, increasing income, ensuring stability and promoting harmony", the town Party committee has effectively promoted the orderly economic development of the whole town Healthy and rapid development. First, new breakthroughs have been made in characteristic industries. The company has successfully introduced more than 600 mu of land transferred by Mianyang xiante Rice Industry Co., Ltd. to develop high-quality rice planting and sightseeing agriculture. The new development of Feilong ecological breeding has invested more than 500000 yuan to develop pig breeding. We will actively support Sichuan Yujin Agricultural Development Co., Ltd.'s 1000 mu Chinese herbal medicine planting project, and strive to build the largest Chinese herbal medicine base in the region. We should strengthen the guidance of the five specialized cooperatives, develop the economy in an all-round way, and boost people's income. Second, key projects are progressing smoothly. The project of drinking water for human and livestock with 3500 people was successfully implemented in our township. The provincial modern agricultural rice production project was implemented in our township. More than 1 million yuan has been invested in agricultural harvesting mechanization and specialization projects. Third, infrastructure conditions were further improved. Relying on the land consolidation project, the accumulated investment is more than 8 million yuan, and the cultivated land is more than 800 mu. A total of 6 km of the last agricultural canal, 5 new reservoirs and 5 refined ponds were built. 6 km of cement road and 4 km of gravel road will be built. The basic conditions of agriculture and farmers have been greatly improved.
