The breeding site of Qingse grassland in Nehe city is located at the junction of Nehe City, Wudalianchi city and Nenjiang County. It is 75KM away from Nehe city and 448m above sea level. It belongs to low mountain and hilly area with good ecological environment. The farm has beautiful mountains and waters, birds singing and flowers fragrant, lush forests and grass, and fertile soil, which is conducive to the development of agriculture and animal husbandry. The farm belongs to Heilongjiang provincial key breeding livestock farm and Qiqihar city grassland nature reserve. Qingse grassland livestock farm covers an area of 150000 mu. Among them, there are 30000 mu of natural grassland, 23000 mu of natural secondary forest and 1500 mu of artificial alfalfa grassland. The total assets are 10 million yuan, with a population of 5731 and 60 state cadres. There are 262 species of wild plants, such as Vicia sativa, Cinnamomum camphora and longgrass. There are dozens of edible natural green foods such as mushrooms, ferns, hazelnuts and so on. There are no less than 20 or 30 kinds of wild animals. The forest and grassland are far away from villages and towns, and there is no pollution. In 1997, Australian Merino breeding rams were introduced to the farm and crossbred with northeast fine wool sheep to improve the quality. 1250 F1 and F2 generation breeding sheep were produced at the price of 800-1000 yuan per sheep. After improvement, the breeding sheep had good production performance, meat performance, high wool yield, fine wool quality, 58-64 fineness, moderate oil and sweat, white or milky white color. The sheep matured early, tolerant to roughage and strong adaptability The quality of both wool and meat was improved. The weight of adult ram is 75kg, the wool length is 11.00cm, the annual wool output is 10kg / sheep, the weight of adult ewe is 55kg, the wool length is 9.00cm, the annual wool output is 6.5kg/sheep, the body weight of bred ram is 65kg, the wool length is 10.5cm, the annual wool output is 9kg / sheep, the weight of bred ewe is 40kg, the wool length is 10.00cm, the annual wool output is 8kg / sheep, the net wool rate can reach 50%. After being put into the market, it promoted the breed improvement and breeding of sheep industry in our city and surrounding cities and counties. In 2002, 30 pure breed Suffolk sheep for meat were purchased from the farm. This breed of sheep, originated from England, is a meat breed and recognized as the terminal hybrid male parent in the world. The weight of male sheep is 90-120 kg, and that of female sheep is 55-75 kg. The lambing rate is 150%. Pure breeding has achieved initial success. In 2003, 17 Suffolk rams were provided to the market at 1200 yuan each. In 2003, 4 German Merino breeding sheep were introduced to improve local sheep. This breed of sheep has perennial estrus, multiple births, fast weight gain, large body size and good wool production performance. The weight of adult ram is 100-140 kg. The daily weight gain of 4-6 weeks old lamb is 360 g. it can be bred at 12 months old. It is estimated that more than 200 breeding rams will be provided to the community in 2004, with a price of 800-1000 yuan per ram. In 2005, a sheep embryo transfer project was set up in the farm, which has been approved. This will lay a solid foundation for the development of pure breeding of mutton sheep.
