Jian'an town

Jian'an Town, subordinate to Dongliao County, Liaoyuan City, Jilin Province, is located in the middle of Dongliao county. It borders Jinzhou Township in the East, Dengta town in Xi'an District in the south, Yunding town in the west, Jiashan Township and Zumin Township in the north. It covers an area of 176.91 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, 29175 people registered residence in Jianan town.

In 1903, it was named erdaohezi. In 1949, it belonged to the Sixth District. In 1958, Jian'an commune was established. In 1978, the commune was transformed into a town. As of June 2020, Jian'an town has jurisdiction over one community and 23 administrative villages, and the town people's government is located in Xinxing community.

Location context

Jian'an town is located in the middle of Dongliao county. It borders Jinzhou Township in the East, Dengta town in Xi'an District in the south, Yunding town in the west, Jiashan Township and Zumin Township in the north. It covers an area of 176.91 square kilometers.

topographic features

Jian'an town is located in the low mountains and hills of Jilin hadaling and the wide valley area of Huifa River, at the West foot of Jilin hadaling. The terrain is high on three sides and low in the West. The area has small mountains and many hills, with three gullies and two hills. The main mountain peaks are Gaoli tomb top, dabotou, Dading mountain, scared jump mountain and so on. Dajiashan, the highest point in the territory, is located in shaoguolingtun, Anyi village in the south, with an altitude of 440.1 meters; the exit of erdaohe, the lowest point, is located in Yongsheng Village.

Jian'an town is a temperate continental climate, characterized by four distinct seasons, hot summer and cold winter (three cold and four warm). The temperature is the highest from late June to late July every year. The lowest temperature is from late December to the end of January. The annual average precipitation is about 600 mm. Precipitation is mainly concentrated in June to July every year.

The river course in Jian'an town belongs to the East Liaohe River system of Liaohe River Basin. Among them, Erdao river runs through the whole territory from east to west and flows into Dongliao river. The drainage area is 120 square kilometers, the river length is 26 kilometers, the river network density is 0.2 km / square kilometers, and the tributaries in the territory are Yixian River and Dongbi river. There are many seasonal rivers, with abundant water in summer and dry in winter. The upper reaches of toudao River are located in the north of the town.
