Wushi Daqiao Township

Wulidaqiao township is located in the east of the entrance of Dadu River Grand Canyon in Yi District of Sichuan Province to the south of the exit. It is subordinate to Ganluo county and borders on Jinkouhe District of Leshan and Hanyuan County of Ya'an district. The border is Dadu River Grand Canyon in Sichuan Province.

On June 12, 2020, the people's Government of Sichuan Province decided to cancel Wushi Daqiao township.

Introduction to Grand Canyon Scenic Area

The main scenic spot of Grand Canyon is wushidaqiao township. (the Dadu River Canyon, which is listed as a national geopark, is 17 kilometers wide from east to west and 26 kilometers long from north to south. The narrowest part is only 20 meters, but the deepest part is 2675 meters, 542 meters deeper than the world's largest canyon, Lola. In December 2001, it was officially listed as the second batch of national geoparks and named as "Sichuan Dadu River Canyon Geopark". In this world-class geological museum, wushidaqiao village has been unknown for a long time due to the natural barrier of Dadu River.

Jurisdiction

The seven Yi villages under the jurisdiction of wushidaqiao township are naturally separated by four deep ditches. The seven Yi villages are located on the cliff of Dadu River bank, and the three villages of Buyi, Tianping and Erping are located in the Grand Canyon,

landforms

All villages are close to mountains and rivers, and close to the virgin forest. The top of the mountain is connected with the Heizhugou natural scenic spot in Ebian County. the ravines between villages are deep and dangerous. From one village to another, you often walk from morning to night. Some of them are only 30 meters away, but you have to walk for more than half a day to get there. The cliff and deep valley vegetation are well protected. When you walk through these ravines in the hot sun, cicadas sing and birds chirping in the ravines, and waterfalls are falling straight down. The cool air is striking, which makes you feel exciting and adventurous.

Buyi village, wushidaqiao Township

Location and area

From the other side of Wushi Daqiao Township, you can enter the Dadu River Grand Canyon. The road winds in the cliff. Buyi village in Wushi Daqiao township is on the abrupt cliff on the other side. Looking up, you can see the blue sky, white clouds, trees or verdant shrubs protruding from the cliff. The rocks on the other side are clearly visible. Looking down, you can see the rapidity of the Dadu River. On the other side of "Luomo amo" (Yi language: bottomless stream) separated by Buyi, Tianping and Erping villages, Tianping and Erping villages are on the looming cliff. The roads leading to Tianping and Erping villages are cut out on the cliffs. Only one person can walk, and if he is not careful, he will fall off the cliffs. Tianping and Erping are named after the only three continuous terraces in the Grand Canyon, which are called Tianping, Erping and Sanping. The cliff height difference of each platform is 600 meters to 900 meters. The first terrace is located on the cliff more than 600 meters high of Dadu River. Tianping and Erping are inhabited at low altitude, forming two villages naturally. Sanping has the largest area, but it is a natural grassland because of its altitude higher than 2800 meters . Walking over the gentle slope of more than 600 meters in Tianping village, the eight or nine hundred meter high cliff stands majestically in front of us. We can walk 500 meters depending on the cliff shrubs. The smooth cliff approaches. Five sets of sky ladders hang on the cliff. One end is tied to the tree roots with vines, and the other end is tied to the ground boulders. This is the hanging five sets of sky ladders connecting Erping village with the outside world. The villagers are also in danger because of these five sets of sky ladders And rarely go out, lambs, calves on the back can not go out, here has become the most closed village in Ganluo county.

Due to the ravines in Buyi, Tianping and Erping, it is very inconvenient for the villagers to communicate with each other, and the villagers' communication is restricted by geography, so it is natural for the villagers to communicate with each other by singing. At the same time, it is also the need of survival. Because of cutting firewood, herding and working on the cliff, it is inevitable not to touch the stones. In order to avoid hurting the pedestrians or the working villagers under the cliff, "don't touch the stones to the tourists above, but pay attention to the safety of the people under the cliff.". In this way, songs often fly up and down the cliff. Because most of the villages in wushidaqiao township are located on the cliffs, they are less related to the outside world in the coming year, less affected by the outside world, and have no electric lights, they often grind at night, and naturally sing a very timely song out of self entertainment. When they have a rest, their friends or family sit together and have nothing to say except chat. At this time, they hum a tune and naturally activate the atmosphere. When girls and boys get to know each other, they use singing to express their feelings and choose their sweetheart. In this way, even if rejected, it doesn't hurt. Because of their unique geographical environment, they are good at expressing their thoughts with songs. Their songs are beautiful and their clothes are also very special. They have the characteristics of Mongolian costumes and strong Yi charm. There are many ravines in Buyi, Tianping and Erping villages. Some people are just across the valley, but they have to walk for four or five hours to get there. There are waterfalls and cascades everywhere in these valleys. Between Buyi and Tianping and Erping villages, there is a very deep luomoamo valley. This valley stretches for four or five kilometers and extends out two larger valleys. The waterfalls in the valley are connected, and the cliffs outside the valley and the dangerous peaks form a beautiful scenery. Anyone who is in such a scene will never forget it, and will not forget the worries of the world. After crossing Tianping, Erping, and Bashang Sanping, we arrive at the third platform of Dadu River. Floating clouds are floating in the Grand Canyon at our feet. The looming Dadu River gives us a sense of tranquility. The lawn in front of us is particularly beautiful and spectacular with colorful flowers. located between Tianping village, Erping village and shiguanuan village, there is a beautiful valley. The deep valley of luooamo (Yi: Changming River) is more than 8000 meters deep and more than 1000 meters deep. The widest part of the valley is less than 10 meters. Shrubs and trees form a natural overpass in the narrow part, and the abrupt rocks collapse on the valley to form a natural overpass. There are many rare animals living on the cliffs in the valley, such as "black monkey" and Caragana. The villagers walk this side of the valley. The rock sheep, the rock antelope, the old bear, the hare and the monkey run across from each other. Sometimes when they meet the "black haired monkey" who is very big, they are in great trouble. It will hit people with stones. There is a real sense of "a line of sky" in this deep valley: there is a section of the valley top only 10 meters wide, and only one line can be seen at the bottom of the valley to cast light. Passing through this section is the Sun Valley. In the Sun Valley, there is a round sky at the bottom of about 100 meters, and the sun will always be seen in the afternoon on a sunny day. This valley has a tributary named Yiqu amo (Yi: clear spring). The spring is as clear as a white ribbon in the valley. At last, it joins luo'e amo and runs to Dadu River.
