Dongjiayao Street

Dongjiayao street is located in Donghu District, northeast of Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province, starting from Nanjing West Road overpass in the East and adjacent to pengjiaqiao street in Donghu District; Wuwei road new freight yard railway in the west is adjacent to Yuzhang street in Donghu District; Fuzhou Road in the south is adjacent to Dayuan street in Donghu District; Ganjiang railway bridge in the north is adjacent to pengjiaqiao street in Donghu District.

Historical evolution

Yangming Road Administrative Office was established in 1949, which was a joint group of Yangming Road residents in 1950. In 1951, sanjinglu Street office was established. In 1953, sanjinglu Yuzhang Road neighborhood committee was set up. In 1954, sanjinglu Street office was established. In 1960, sanjinglu community and dongjiayao community were changed. It was named after dongjiayao (Village) which used to burn Gongyuan kiln to make bricks and tiles.

In 1968, it was renamed Weidong commune, which was abolished in November of the same year and then belonged to Qingshan road and Yonghong commune respectively. In 1979, dongjiayao commune was restored according to the original jurisdiction, and it was changed into a street in the same year. It is located in the north of the area. There are 25 streets, such as Bayi Avenue, Hongdu Avenue and Qingshan South Road. The Beijing Kowloon railway passes through the northeast of its jurisdiction.

In 1997, it covers an area of 7.3 square kilometers and has a population of 91000.
