Wangbao Town, subordinate to Suizhong County, Huludao City, Liaoning Province, is located in the south of Suizhong County, bordering Wanghu Manchu Township in the East, Bohai Bay in the south, Gaoling town across the Shihe River in the west, and Qianwei town in the north, with an administrative area of 66.3 square kilometers.

In 1931, Wangbao town belonged to Loujia village of Suizhong County; in 2000, it was changed to Wangbao town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of Wang Bao town was 19850. As of June 2020, Wangbao town has jurisdiction over 9 administrative villages, and the town people's government is stationed in Wangbao village.

History of construction

In 1931, Wangbao town belonged to Loujia village, Suizhong County.

In 1946, it belonged to loudian township.

In 1948, it belonged to nine districts of Xuhuiling.

In 1958, it belonged to the avant-garde revolutionary October commune.

In 1961, Wang Bao commune was established.

In 1983, Wang Baoxiang was changed.

In 2000, it was changed to Wangbao town.

Wangbao town is located in the south of Suizhong County, bordering Wanghu Manchu Township in the East, Bohai Bay in the south, Gaoling town across Shihe River in the West and Qianwei town in the north, with an administrative area of 66.3 square kilometers.

Wangbao town is located in the plain area, 98% of which is plain and 2% is hilly. It is close to Shihe River in the west, and plain in the middle and south. The terrain is generally flat.

In 2008, Wang Baozhen introduced more than 8000 blueberry seedlings from Donggang City of Dandong to develop off-season blueberries. The blueberry planting area in Wangbao town is more than 3400 mu.
