Xiangshan street is located in the southwest of Yicheng District of Zhumadian City, 6.5km away from the urban area, covering an area of 32km2 and 28000 mu of cultivated land.

Evolution of organizational system

Hanzhuang commune was established in 1975, belonging to Queshan county. It was renamed Xiangshan commune in 1981 and Xiangshan Township in 1983. In 1986, Xiangshan township was assigned to Zhumadian City (now Yicheng District). In 1997, with an area of 33 square kilometers and a population of 16000, it has jurisdiction over six administrative villages, namely Xiangshan, Yanglou, Yanlou, Liyuan, Sundian and Qianzhang. In 2005, Xiangshan township was abolished and its administrative area was put under the jurisdiction of zhugudong township. In July 2008, Xiangshan street was set up in Xiangshan township. In January 2009, Xiangshan sub district office was officially established. In 2009, yaohou village of zhugudong township was under the jurisdiction of Xiangshan street, and the other 8 villages were under the jurisdiction of Queshan county.

administrative division

Xiangshan street has two communities and four administrative villages. The communities are Xiangshan community and Qianzhang community. The administrative villages include Yanglou village, Sundian village, Yanlou village and Liyuan Village.
