Dongguo town

Dongguo town is located in the southeast of Yuncheng City, 110 degrees east longitude and 34 degrees north latitude. It borders Xiaxian in the East, Pinglu in the south, Nancheng office in the West and Anyi office in the north. Jurisdiction: Dongguo, Baizhuang, xiayue, xiaduan, jietan, Yueyue, Mohe, Jiecun, Chiyou, Liufan ten administrative villages. It is 8 km long from north to South and 7 km wide from east to west, with a total area of 56.99 square kilometers, a permanent resident population of 13620 (2017), and a cultivated area of 21000 mu. Yunsan Expressway passes through three villages of Yueyue, jietan and xiaduan, and the ring expressway crosses ten administrative villages. Jiulong Avenue, Bole Avenue, Jieyang highway and tongcun road form a convenient transportation network. In 2004, Dongguo town was named as a provincial civilized small town, and in 2005, it was designated as a national small town construction pilot.

At present, the key cultural relics under provincial protection are Yuban Ancient Salt Road, and the key cultural relics under municipal protection are Mohe Neolithic site, Chiyou ancient tribe site and Baizhuang ancient opera temple, which were the human settlements 7000 years ago. As a representative program of the northern lion, the old pole of the male lion in Mohe village belongs to ancient folk acrobatics. It has won the National Folk Art Creation Award and the municipal intangible protection project. In 1996, it was recorded by CCTV as a feature film "Southern lion and Northern lion". Jiulongshan scenic spot is the hometown of Chiyou, one of the three ancestors of the Chinese nation, 3000 years ago. the industrial structure of Dongguo town is mainly agriculture, and the leading industries are wheat, cotton, greenhouse vegetables and spring lotus.
