Handaqi Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Aihui District, Heihe City, Heilongjiang Province, is located in the west of Aihui District, adjacent to Xingfu Township and Jinhe farm in the East, Aihui breeding stock factory and erzhan Township in the south, Heibaoshan coal mine, Nenjiang breeding stock factory and Jianbian farm in the west, Xinsheng Township and shangmachang Township in the north. The administrative area is 4018.09 square kilometers.

History of construction

In 1949, handaqi district was set up, with jurisdiction over five villages of handaqi, Wudaogou, Zhuweihe, Xinkailing and Daqing.

In 1953, it was renamed the Sixth District, and huolongmen district was divided into guhandaqi village.

In 1956, senior agricultural production cooperatives were organized.

In 1958, handaqi commune was established, and huolongmen township was put under Nenjiang County.

In 1980, Xinkailing production team was assigned to Xingfu township.

In May 1983, the commune was transformed into a township, with jurisdiction over six villages, namely, handaqi, Xiaogou, zhuduhe (Yongsheng), Changsheng, huashupaizi and laogongzi (Qianjin).

In June 1985, it was changed to handaqi town.

In 2001, Jinshui township was incorporated into the city.
