Dachangshan Island town, belonging to Changhai County, Dalian City, Liaoning Province, is located in the west central part of Changshan Islands, in the north central part of lichangshan islands, adjacent to xiaochangshan Island town in the south, facing guangludao town in the southwest, and adjacent to Jinzhou District, Pulandian district and Zhuanghe City of Dalian city across the sea in the north. Its total area is 40.53 square kilometers.

In December 1985, Dachangshan township was merged into sikuaishi town. In March 1987, sikuaishi town was renamed dachangshandao town.
