Xincheng Street

Xincheng street is located in the northwest of Xinxing District, adjacent to Xinjian street in the East, Xincun village in Hongqi Town in the west, gangyaogou street in the South and Hongxian village in Hongqi Town in the north. With an area of 16 square kilometers, there are 4 communities, 18 residents committees and 17286 residents (2010).

Xincheng street was established in 1986 by dividing the original Xinjian Street into 18 committees. The street is extremely rich in coal resources, state-owned seven coal company new coal mine, seven coal company coal washery are in the street. In addition, there are 420 large and small private enterprises such as longpeng coking plant, a large private enterprise. Due to large-scale mining of coal resources, the ground subsides and houses are damaged. In the subsidence area, 860 damaged houses are CD grade, and 100 households can be relocated by the end of 2005. there is a Christian Church in the street with more than 1800 believers. in July 2005, the contradiction between coal mining subsidence and damaged houses was not completely solved. Therefore, more than 50 residents of the 13th Committee of Xincheng street were preparing to sleep on the rails collectively. Wang Dongmei, director of the 13th Committee of Xincheng street, found the suspicious signs in time and fed back the information to the street community. Through hard and meticulous work, the residents were educated to avoid a serious event of collective sleeping on the rails. 1350 people in the street enjoy subsistence allowances, and 1300 people are employed through various channels. By the end of 2005, the amount of investment has reached 20 million yuan.
