Xingang town

Xingang town is a town under the jurisdiction of Fanchang District, Wuhu City, Anhui Province. It is located in the north of Fanchang and adjacent to the South Bank of the Yangtze River. It is the central town of Anhui Province and the first pilot town to expand power in Anhui Province. The town covers an area of 32.82 square kilometers (2017), governs three administrative villages and one community neighborhood committee, and has a permanent population of 20542 (2017).

Xingang is located at 118 ° 03 'e, 31 ° 11' n, the Yangtze River in the north, Digang in the west, Fanyang in the South and Sanshan District in the East. It is a warm and humid monsoon climate in the southern margin of the north subtropical zone. The town is 35 km away from Wuhu and 17 km away from Fanyang town (the residence of the district government). The north pole of the south new line of the provincial highway is here. Xingang is rich in natural products, with abundant limestone and iron ore reserves. The aquatic resources along the river are of high quality, including swordfish, crab and fish. It has a pollution-free agricultural product base of 9000 mu, with the main agricultural products of Artemisia selengensis, strawberry, cowpea, soya bean, eggplant, pepper, seedless watermelon, corn, cucumber, celery and tomato, with a total annual output of 11700 tons. Five new wharves of more than 35000 tons have been built in Xinghua, and ten thousand ton wharves such as Yicheng, Huarun power plant and Huarun Petrochemical have been expanded. Six wharves of Changchun, Liwen and yaopi are under construction. The preliminary work of Baimao Xiaosha development has been substantially carried out. There are many aquatic resources of high quality, among which swordfish, fish and crab are its specialties, known as "three delicacies" in Xingang.
