Ping'an Township
Ping'an Township, a township under the jurisdiction of Yuechi County, is located in the west of Yuechi County, adjacent to Xiban township. Guanggao road passes along the border. It is adjacent to dinosaur Township in the north, Xiban Township in the south, Youxi town in the East, and Tongxing town in the West. It was established in 1956, renamed Qianjin commune in 1966, Chang'an commune in 1968, and Ping'an township was restored in 1981. It was merged with Tongxing Township in 1992 and under the jurisdiction of Tongxing town. In 1994, it was transferred from Tongxing town The administrative organs of Ping'an Township were withdrawn, an independent township of Ping'an was established, and a new Ping'an township was established, becoming the 21st township of Yuechi. The township covers an area of 16.67 square kilometers and has jurisdiction over 9 administrative villages, 1 neighborhood committee, 59 villager groups and 2 community residents groups, with a total population of 7601 (2017).
