Xidoupu Town, belonging to Guyang County, Baotou City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of the people's Republic of China, is located in the northwest of Guyang County, adjacent to xingshunxi town in the East, Jinshan Town in the south, xiaoshetai town in wulatqian banner and Shihahe town in wulatzhong banner in the west, and Wuke town in Darhan maoming'an United banner in the north. It is 50 kilometers away from the county government, with a total administrative area of 772 square kilometers.

In the Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China, most of xidoupu town belonged to Urad Zhonggong banner; in December 2005, hongnijing and Baliang townships were merged into xidoupu town. By the end of 2018, the population of the registered residence in West Dou town was 19437. In 2019, xidoupu town governs one community and six administrative villages.

In 2018, there were 79 industrial enterprises in xidoupu Town, including 4 above scale enterprises and 3 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

History of construction

In the Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China, most of them belonged to Urad Zhonggong banner. in 1926, it was called the second district and belonged to Guyang county. In November 1937, it was called Gonghe Township, belonging to the puppet Guyang County Office. In 1945, it was called Minxiang Township, belonging to Guyang county. In March 1950, it was called the Sixth District. In June 1955, it was called xidoupu District, belonging to Guyang county. The district office was located in xidoupu village. In July 1958, the South was called upstream commune and the North Dongfeng commune; in December of the same year, the two communes merged into xidoupu commune. In March 1960, it was divided into three communes: hongnijing commune, xidoupu commune and Baliang commune. In July 1984, hongnijing and Baliang communes were changed into townships, and xidoupu commune was changed into xidoupu town. In December 2005, hongnijing and Baliang townships were merged into xidoupu town.

In 2011, xidoupu town has jurisdiction over 1 community of Xinmin, 12 administrative villages of Xinmin, zhangfadi, hujitu, big six elements, Nantou elements, Zhao nianfang, Liu Weihao, big two elements, shibaqing, three elements, fourteen elements and hongnijing; 1 resident group and 117 villager groups. In 2019, xidoupu town governs one community of Xinmin community, and six administrative villages including hujitu village, sanmolecular village, zhangfadi village, liuweihao village, daermolecular village and hongnijing village.

In the Xianfeng Period of the Qing Dynasty, there were shops selling shengdou in xidoupu Town, commonly known as doupu; there was also a shop selling shengdou in the East, so it was called xidoupu.
