Hongchuan Town, subordinate to Chengxian County, Longnan City, Gansu Province, is located in the east of Chengxian county and the hinterland of Huicheng basin. It is adjacent to Lichuan Township in Huixian County in the East, Songping Township in the south, Diancun town in the West and Fujia town in Huixian County in the north. It is 20 kilometers away from Chengxian County, with a total area of 43.72 square kilometers.

In the Ming Dynasty, Hongchuan town was located in the east of the city; in June 1988, Hongchuan township was changed to Hongchuan town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of Hong Chuan town was 12182. As of June 2020, Hongchuan town has 1 community and 10 administrative villages.

In 2018, there were four industrial enterprises in Hongchuan Town, including one above scale and two comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

History of construction

In the Ming Dynasty, it belonged to Dongli.

After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), Dianchuan town was established.

In February 1953, it belongs to the third district.

In February 1955, it belongs to DianChuan district.

In October 1958, Hongchuan commune was established.

In July 1983, Hongchuan commune was changed into Hongchuan township.

In June 1988, Hongchuan township was changed into Hongchuan town.
