Duyu township is located in the depth of Taihang Mountain in the northeast of Shanxi Province, southwest of Lingqiu County in Datong City. Shanxi and Hebei provinces, Lingqiu, Fuping, Fanshi three counties intersection. In the territory of overlapping peaks, ravines, mountains, deep ditch, wide slope. The average altitude is 1200 meters. The outlet of Ranzhuang River in Huata village is 558 meters above sea level, which is the lowest in Datong City. The terrain is long and narrow from east to west, once bell shaped. The terrain is high in the East and low in the West. Duyu River and Sanlou river run through the whole territory from east to west. There are abundant water sources. There are ditches, that is, water. Small rivers and streams form a network. The township governs 19 administrative villages and 40 natural villages. The resident population was 6217 (2017).

This area belongs to the temperate semi-arid continental monsoon climate, with long winter and short summer, four distinct seasons and the same period of rain and heat. The annual average temperature is 7 ℃, the precipitation is 1520 mm, and the frost free period is about 120 days. The main mineral resources are granite, quartzite, zeolite, rutile, crystal, mica, kaolin, gold, iron, lead-zinc, molybdenum and so on. The total area of the township is 271.1 square kilometers. Among them, 12000 mu of arable land, 1.3 mu per capita. The forest area is 87000 mu, the suitable forest area is 113000 mu, and the grazing slope area is 105000 mu. The main crops are corn, millet, wheat, beans, potato and so on. High quality cashmere goats and improved cattle are the main animal husbandry. Economic forests are mainly walnut and pepper, as well as apple, Kernel Apricot, peach, pear and persimmon. Timber forests are mainly Pinus tabulaeformis, Larix gmelinii, poplar, Sophora japonica, etc. In 2002, the grain output was 4.5 million jin, and the per capita net income of farmers was 1363 yuan. Duyu village, where Township organs are located, established people's commune in 1958, changed to township in 1984, and merged with former Sanlou Township in 2001. During the Anti Japanese War, Yanbei Prefecture Party committee and Hun, Ling and Guang county governments were stationed here, which was an old revolutionary base area with glorious tradition.

Building two bases

The ecological animal husbandry base with high quality cashmere goat and improved beef cattle was built in the East. The implementation of cattle and sheep into the circle, scale breeding, ecological and economic benefits to achieve a win-win situation. The economic forest base of dry and fresh fruits with high-quality peach and Zanthoxylum bungeanum as main materials will be built in the West. We will develop 2000 mu of walnuts and 1000 mu of Zanthoxylum bungeanum. The amount of walnuts reached 5 million Jin and that of Zanthoxylum bungeanum was 10000 Jin.

Develop two tourist areas

The first is to develop Huata ecological natural tourism area. Develop "cottage Tour", hold "picking Festival", develop and build "Kaba house", integrate leisure, vacation and sightseeing, and let visitors experience rural style. The second is to develop the underground stone Buddha group of quhui temple, uncover the mysterious veil of quhui temple, and attract tourists to seek victory and explore the secluded.

Implement two projects to benefit the people

One is to realize the connection of administrative villages with cement roads. The second is to develop 1000 mu of traditional Chinese medicine along 108 National Highway, Duyu River and Sanlou river.
