Taihe Bridge Street

Taihe Bridge Street is located in Fenyang, Shanxi Province, located in the northeast of Fenyang. The area is about 16.2 square kilometers, and its registered residence has a population of about 5.5 million people (2019). It is composed of Fenyang street and Wenfeng street.

Name source

Taihe bridge was built in ancient times, so it was named.

Historical evolution

In 1958, Fenyang built Chengguan commune, and in 1984, Chengguan town was established. In 1996, Chengguan town covers an area of 24.7 square kilometers and has a population of 10000. It has jurisdiction over 10 administrative villages in southeast, northeast, Beiguan, Xiguan, Dongguan, Nanguan, Ximen, Beimen, fengjiazhuang and hongnanshe.

In March 2001, Chengguan town was abolished and Wenfeng street, taiheqiao street and Xihe Township were established. Beiguan village and Dongbei village in Chengguan town and zichengfang village, Guzhuang village, caoxingzhuang village and beiguanyuan village in jiajiazhuang town were the jurisdiction of taiheqiao street.

In August 2011, Fenyang City re divided the urban streets into five streets: yuanyuanfeng street, taiheqiao street and Xihe township. After the adjustment, the new taiheqiao street is under the jurisdiction of Gulou North Community, Fuxue street community, Xinkai Road community, Shengli Road community and Dongbei village in the former taiheqiao street, Gulou South Community and Xifu community in the former Fengfeng street, new Fenyang hospital community in Shanxi Province and Fenyang prison community in Shanxi Province; the new Chenbei street is under the jurisdiction of Xingfu street community and North Community in the former taiheqiao street Guancun village, beiguanyuan village, zichengfang village, beikuo village, mijiazhuang village, Guxian village in jiajiazhuang town and Fenyang college community of Shanxi Medical University are under their jurisdiction.

In March 2019, Chenbei Street will be merged into taiheqiao street.

16 communities are under the jurisdiction of taiheqiao street in Fenyang City. The Party Working Committee and office of the street are located in the southwest corner of T-junction of taiheqiao and Fuxue street.
