Nanfeng Township

Nanfeng township is located in the southwest of Pingchang County, Sichuan Province, 62km away from the county. It borders on Yilong and Bazhou counties (districts) and Xiangtan Town, Heishui Township and Fushen Township, covering an area of 36.55 square kilometers. The township governs 10 villages and 83 communities with a total population of 8525 people (2017) and a cultivated area of 9226 mu.

On May 25, 2020, the people's Government of Sichuan Province decided to abolish Nanfeng township.

economic development

The economy of the township is dominated by planting, breeding and labor services, mainly producing rice, wheat, rape, corn, sweet potato, potato, peanut, tobacco, fruit, soybeans, mung beans, etc.; the breeding industry is dominated by pigs, cattle, sheep, rabbits, chickens, ducks, geese, fish, etc. In 2006, the GDP of the township was 24.69 million yuan, and the net income per capita was 1737 yuan.
