Dizhai Street

Dizhai street, belonging to Baqiao District, Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province, is located in the southeast of Baqiao district. It is connected with Paoli street of Chang'an District in the south, Xiwang street in the north, and Hongqi and zhizhicheng streets in the two, with a total area of 84.02 square kilometers.

Dizhai street is a historic street in the eastern suburb of Xi'an. It is said that Diqing, a great general in the Tiansheng reign of Song Dynasty (1023), once set up a camp here, so it got its name. Dizhai street is rich in tourism resources, such as Bailuyuan, huanghugou, Empress Dowager Mausoleum of Han Dynasty, diqingyingzhai site, etc. in particular, huanghugou has unique natural scenery and is a summer resort in the suburbs of Xi'an.

During the reign of emperor Renzong of the Song Dynasty (1023-1032), general Di Qing had been stationed in Bailuyuan for a long time when he was in Xixia. The village of diqingzha village is named Dizhai village.
