Dongli Lake, located in the northeast of Dongli District, is an important area for Tianjin to borrow capital resources. In December 2012, in order to speed up the development of Donglihu District, the municipal government approved the establishment of Donglihu street, covering an area of 68.72 square kilometers, which extends to beitanghe in the East, Jinhan Expressway in the south, Jishan connecting line in the west, Dongli and Ninghe ownership junction in the north. After nearly two years of development, 7 communities, including Lanyuan, oasis garden, Lake appreciation, Yuhu garden, Bi Xi Yuan, Qinshui yuan and East Lake Bay, have been built in the jurisdiction area. The population of 250 thousand communities is planned to be 250 thousand. The registered residence population is more than 2900, and the boarding population is more than 1 million.

Dongli Lake is located in the northeast of Dongli District, Tianjin, between the downtown area of Tianjin and the core area of Binhai New Area, with an overall planning area of 85.51 square kilometers. It is a national AAA tourist attraction. With an area of 8 square kilometers and connected with Jinzhong River and Yongding New River, it is a National Water Conservancy Scenic Spot named by the Ministry of water resources. With high quality and abundant geothermal resources, it is one of the first batch of "hot spring villages in China" by the Ministry of land and resources and the China Federation of Geology and mineral resources.
