Small town

Xiaoshi Town, subordinate to Benxi Manchu Autonomous County, Benxi City, Liaoning Province, is located in the eastern mountainous area of Liaoning Province, bordering tianshifu town in the East, caohezhang town in the south, Mingshan District of Benxi City in the West and Qinghe town in the north. It covers an area of 562.24 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, 34541 households in small towns had registered residence.

Before 2002, there were small towns. In December 2002, shanchengzi town and small town merged into a new small town. In February 2006, the township was withdrawn and merged with the town, and the Quanshui town and the small town were merged. In November 2007, a new small town was established. As of June 2020, small towns have jurisdiction over 18 administrative villages, and the town people's government is located in Guanyinge village.

In 2018, there were 55 industrial enterprises in small towns, including one industrial enterprise above the designated size and 59 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

At the end of 2011, Xiaoshi town had 18 villagers' committees, including Chenying, jiucaiyu, jianchangbao, shanchengzi, moshiyu, cuizishi, Xiangmo, Shangbao, Xiabao, chenggou, Qingshiling, xiejiaweizi, tongjiangyu, Yaobao, tanjiabaozi, miyaozi, sanguange and sailizhai.

In 2011, the total agricultural output value of small towns was 340 million yuan, accounting for 2.2% of the town's GDP.

In 2011, small towns formed an industrial system dominated by mineral resources, ceramic building materials, mechanical casting, deep processing of agricultural products, with a total industrial output value of 9.3 billion yuan, an increase of 60.4% over the previous year. There were 130 industrial enterprises with 5100 employees, realizing an industrial added value of 3.26 billion yuan, an increase of 53.9% over the previous year.

In 2011, the general budget revenue of small towns was 37.63 million yuan, an increase of 56.2% over the previous year.
