Wenwusha town is located in the southeast of Changle District, Fuzhou City, Fujian Province, adjacent to wansha village of Zhanggang town in the East, Yutou village of Guhuai town in the west, Dongping village of Heshang town in the north and Wenwusha reservoir in the south. It is one of the six coastal towns in Changle.

Wenwusha town governs 9 administrative villages including Donghai, Dongdai, Qixi, Hujing, Hudong, Shantou, xiawu and Xincun, and 4 farm operation areas including 2 stations, 3 stations, 4 stations and 8 stations.

In 2017, the administrative area was 3204 hectares, with a permanent population of 23098.

Wenwu sand town has convenient transportation, two port roads pass through the territory, 8 kilometers away from Fuzhou Changle International Airport and 20 kilometers away from Panasonic wharf. The annual average temperature is 20 degrees, the annual rainfall is 1250-1420 mm, the annual sunshine hours is 1985 hours, and the frost free period is 345 days.

Wenwu sand town is open and flat. It is a coastal reclamation land with fertile land, crisscross rivers and harbors, and ten thousand mu of Casuarina equisetifolia wind proof and sand fixation forest belt on the coastal beach. The kilometer long 18 hole sluice dam is built at the entrance to the sea. In the dam, there is a beautiful freshwater lake (East Lake), boundless fertile land, golden sand beach, and the kilometer long seawall blend into a wonderful landscape. The well-known Strait Olympic golf course is located here. The magnificent "Queen Mother reef" and the 9-meter-high statue of Mazu are also distributed in the city. It is one of the towns with great tourism potential in our city.

Wenwu sand area has flat terrain, rich resources and perfect infrastructure. It is rich in shrimp, crab shell, grouper, tilapia, freshwater eel, Chinese soft shelled turtle and other marine and freshwater treasures; agricultural and livestock products mainly include a variety of high-quality rice varieties (jiazao312, Yiyou 673, Liangyou 3773, Yixiangyou 1577, Fengyou 22), white radish, mustard, silkworm pea, malingshu, lettuce, celery and vegetable pig, milk, egg duck, meat duck, etc.; industrial products mainly include polyester cotton yarn , nylon 6, polyester yarn, auto parts, etc.
