Yandi Township

Yandi township is located in Hongdong County, Shanxi Province, with 69000 mu of cultivated land, including 30000 mu of irrigated land. In the east of the township, there are 13 villages in mountainous areas, 7 villages in Hilly and dry areas in the middle, and 17 villages in water areas in the West. It is a pure agricultural township without industrial and mining enterprises. Besides agriculture, the income of farmers mainly depends on working outside. In 2007, the per capita net income of farmers was 3890 yuan.

Yandi township is located in the southeast of Hongdong County, adjacent to Yaodu District of Linfen City, 25 kilometers away from the county. Covering an area of 96 square kilometers, it belongs to hilly and mountainous areas. The township government is located in Yandi village.

Historical evolution

Hongdong County governs the township. Yandi commune was established in 1961, and the township was restored in 1984. In 2001, Yandi township was merged with KONGYU township.
