Dahuashu town
Dahuashu Town, belonging to Hongdong County, Shanxi Province, is adjacent to Mingjiang Town, Guangshengsi Town, SuPu town and Quting town in the East, Xincun Township across Fenhe River in the west, Ganting town in the South and Zhaocheng town in the north. The town has 6 neighborhood committees, 54 village committees, 59 natural villages, 45716 households and 114011 people (2017). All of them are Han nationality.
Historical evolution
In 2001, Nanwang Township, Chengguan town and Fengzhang Township merged to form dahuashu town.
geographical environment
Yufeng Road, the county seat of the town government, is high in the East and low in the West. The Fenhe River enters from Zhaocheng town in the north and flows southward. The honganjian River enters from SuPu town in the East and flows westward into Fenhe River. Nantongpu railway and Huohou first-class highway run parallel from north to south. Hongdong Guangshengsi highway runs from south to East and enters Guangshengsi town. Hongdong Guxian highway runs from west to East and enters supao town. Hongdong Sanjiaohe highway runs from county seat to west and enters Xincun Township via Fenhe bridge. There is Hongdong station in the territory, the traffic is very convenient. the administrative area of the town is 9453 hectares, with a total cultivated area of 5043 hectares. The main crops are wheat, corn, beans, cotton and vegetables. In terms of township enterprises, the main enterprises are repair factory, chemical fiber factory, comprehensive factory, chicken factory, hotel, handling team, etc.
Education and health
In terms of culture, education and health, there are 51 schools, 6 hospitals and health centers in the town, and health centers in all villages. Hongdong No.1 middle school and Hongdong No.2 Middle School are stationed in the territory.
cultural relics and historic sites
On the west side of Jiacun village in the north of the city, there is the ancient big locust tree in the Ming Dynasty migration site, which has been opened as the Management Office of the big locust tree root seeking and ancestor worship garden. Yongyibao in the northeast is a famous cultural site of the Western Zhou Dynasty. A large number of precious cultural relics were excavated in 1980. Libao in the southeast is the hometown of Han Wen, the Minister of household affairs in Zhengde period of Ming Dynasty. There is Han Shangshu cemetery in the west of the village. There is also a Ming Dynasty prison in the county, which is a provincial cultural relics protection unit.
