Xinhua Town

Xinhua Town, belonging to Linhe District of Bayannaoer City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the northeast of Linhe district. It is adjacent to Tahu town of Wuyuan County in the East, wulantuk town in the south, Tuanjie town of Hangjinhou banner in the West and Wujiahe town of wulatzhong banner in the north. It covers an area of 429.61 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in Xinhua Town was 47413.

In 1932, it was renamed baichuanbao. In 1985, Xinhua commune changed into a town. In February 2006, the ancient town was merged into Xinhua Town. As of June 2020, Xinhua Town has jurisdiction over 29 administrative villages, and the people's Government of Xinhua Town is located in Xinfeng village.

In 2018, Xinhua Town had 3 industrial enterprises and 178 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

Historical evolution

Xinhua Town River belongs to the Yellow River Basin, with a drainage area of 522 square kilometers. The main rivers include two secondary rivers, such as Yongji canal and Huangji canal, with a total length of 40 kilometers; three tertiary rivers, such as Xinhua canal, Zhengshao canal and Xile canal, with a total length of 140 kilometers.
