Long beach town
Changtan town is located in the southeast of Fushun County, bordering on the West Bank of Tuojiang River. It is 64 km away from Fushun County, 20 km away from Luzhou City, 25 km down Tuojiang River and directly into the Yangtze River. The government's residence is changtanba, 14 km away from Longna Expressway (Luzhou Kuangchang entrance and exit). It borders Haichao town of Luxian County on the East, Tongtan town and Shizhai town of Jiangyang District of Luzhou City on the south, Shidao Township and Zhaohua town on the West It borders on Huaide town in the north and faces each other across the river. The town covers an area of 51.56 square kilometers, including 2180 hectares of arable land. It has jurisdiction over 9 administrative villages and 2 community neighborhood committees. By 2019, the total population of the town will be 39562.
On August 31, 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved Zigong to adjust the administrative divisions of some towns: Shidao township was cancelled and its administrative area was put under the jurisdiction of Changtan Town, and the people's Government of Changtan town was stationed at No. 69 East Street.
Historical evolution
The town got its name from its location. It was called Yihe town in ancient times, and later it was renamed changtanba. In 1912 (the first year of the Republic of China), it was called Changtan regiment; in 1934 (the 23rd year of the Republic of China), it was named Changtan township; in 1951, it was divided into Changtan Township and Tianma township; in 1955, it was changed into Changtan township; in 1958, it was changed into community; in 1984, it was changed into township; in 1995, it was changed into Changtan town; in 2001, it was still Changtan town after the district was withdrawn and the town was merged; in September 2019, it was changed into township The administrative area of Shidao township is under the jurisdiction of Changtan town. The people's Government of Changtan town is located at 69 East Street.

The terrain of Changtan town is flat, with an average annual temperature of 18.2 ° C and annual rainfall of 800-1100 mm. Yujiaba is one of the nine plains formed by Tuojiang River flowing through Fushun County; Changtan Zhongba, the largest medium dam of Tuojiang River, is rich in sand and stone resources, with a total area of 133.4 hectares. It mainly grows rice, wheat, corn, sorghum, sweet potato and vegetables, peanut, rapeseed, sugarcane and other food economic crops. The characteristic economic crops are longan, litchi, citrus, loquat, bamboo shoots. population
In 2017, the resident population of the town was 11663 (2017). In 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017, 836 people from 262 households were reduced. In 2018, 138 people from 37 households were given the provincial poverty alleviation task. All 974 people from 299 households in the town were lifted out of poverty. Qingtai village was lifted out of poverty.
Economic and social development
At the end of 2017, the total social investment in fixed assets was 225 million yuan, with fiscal revenue of 1.45 million yuan; there was one middle school, three primary schools, two private kindergartens, one public kindergarten; one health center, nine village clinics; and one nursing home.
Scenic Spots and Historical Sites
The construction of Changtan town has a long history. Due to the prosperity of salt transportation, Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism mingled here, and many temples were built. Today, there are still relatively complete streets of the ancient town, as well as temples such as Liujia ancestral hall, dizhu palace, Wuxian temple, Tianhou palace, Nanhua palace, etc. The Legend of nine pot has been handed down to this day. At the end of 2015, there were 3 municipal cultural relics protection units and 38 county-level cultural relics protection units in the town.

Main palace
Located in the East Street of Changtan Town, it was built in the Qing Dynasty. The building area of the imperial palace is more than 350 square meters, with civil structure, suspended hill type small green tile roof and through bucket structure. At present, there is only one main hall, with wood carvings and stone carvings all over the building. Its construction technology is exquisite and has high historical and artistic value. It is now a municipal cultural relic protection unit.
