Yezu Village

Yezu township is under the jurisdiction of Huidong County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. It originally belonged to Qijia and Banyi District of Huili County. Yezu township was set up in 1952, changed to commune in 1972, and restored to township in 1984.

On December 13, 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved Liangshan Prefecture to adjust the administrative divisions of some towns and townships in six counties (cities), including Xichang City (cfzm [2019] No. 18): the administrative area of Lama township was cancelled and put under the jurisdiction of yezu Township, and the people's government of yezu township was stationed at No. 78, group 1, xiayezu village.

Yezu township is located in the south of the county, 38 kilometers away from the county government. It covers an area of 153.15 square kilometers and has a population of 8169 (2017). The main agricultural products in yezu township are potato, corn and buckwheat. Forest resources are abundant. Fine wool improved sheep and semi fine wool improved sheep are the main animal husbandry. in may 2014, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved the cancellation of yezu Township, Xueshan Township, Baishan Township and the establishment of yezu Township in Huidong County, with the administrative divisions of yuanyezu Township, Xueshan Township and Baishan township as the jurisdiction of xinyezu township.
