Gulin County governs the town. Rock goat production base. In 1950, it was divided into districts. Shibao town is located in the southeast of Gulin and the northwest of Chishui River. It is an important hub of Sichuan and Guizhou. It has developed commerce and trade since ancient times. There are 13 karst villages with a total area of 581.175 square kilometers and a total population of 581 people.
