Shimen Township
Shimen Township, subordinate to Jingyuan County, Baiyin City, Gansu Province, is located in the northwest of Jingyuan County. It is connected with Shuanglong Township in the East, Shuiquan town of Pingchuan District in the southeast, and Zhongquan Township, Luyang town and Wufo township of Jingtai County in the southwest and northwest. The total administrative area is 414.7 square kilometers.
In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), Shimen Township Office was set up; in 1983, it was changed to Shimen township. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in Shimen was 13337. In June 2020, Shimen rural governs 10 administrative villages.
In 2011, the per capita net income of farmers in Shimen township was 2375 yuan. In 2018, Shimen township has 5 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
In 1912, Shimen Township Office was set up.
In 1949, the Fourth District Office was set up.
In 1958, Shimen commune was established.
In 1963, Shimen small commune was established under the jurisdiction of Chuankou district government office.
In 1968, Shimen commune was restored.
In 1983, it was changed into Shimen township.

The highest point is located in Peibao village, 3017 meters above sea level; the lowest point is located in Xiaokou village, more than 1300 meters above sea level.
