The attached town is located on the West Bank of the upper reaches of Dongjiang River in the mountainous area of northern Guangdong, separated from the county by a river. The Beijing Kowloon Railway, Guangzhou Meizhou Shantou railway and national highway 205 pass through the town. It is a town with convenient water and land transportation. There are 13 village committees in the town, with a total population of 40000, covering an area of 108 square kilometers, with a total cultivated area of 10427.5 mu, forestry land of 6824.1 hectares, and a forest coverage rate of 60%.
