Zhangzhuang Town, located in the northwest of Yucheng City, has jurisdiction over 61 administrative villages with 21139 people (2107), covering an area of 53.21 square kilometers and 42000 mu of arable land. It is a national pilot town for small town construction and a pilot town for "one hundred new projects" in Shandong Province. It was approved as a provincial central town by Shandong provincial government in February 2000.

The location is superior. Located on the construction and development axis of key small towns in Shandong Province and Dezhou City, it is the northwest gateway of Yucheng City, 13 kilometers away from the urban area, adjacent to Pingyuan County in the north. It is the center of Pingyuan and Yucheng. It connects Jinan in the South and Dezhou in the north, and it is also the relay station of Jinan and Dezhou.

Convenient transportation. 101 provincial road and Beijing Shanghai railway cross the whole town, and Beijing Fuzhou Expressway passes through the northwest of the town. It is 330 km (high speed) from Beijing, 60 km (high speed) from Jinan International Airport and 350 km from Qingdao.

It is rich in resources. Five rivers pass through the territory, and water resources are sufficient. The national large-scale commodity grain base, the long staple cotton experimental base of Shandong Academy of Agricultural Sciences and the modern agricultural demonstration park of Yucheng City are all located here. They are rich in agricultural product resources, rich in cotton, grain, vegetables, fruits, dairy cows, lean pigs and other livestock products.
