Beiyijing township is located in Xinfu District, Xinzhou City, Shanxi Province. It is located in Xinding basin. It is the east gate of Xinfu District and next to Xintai tourist route, with convenient transportation. It is adjacent to Dingxiang County in the East, Boming town and Donglou Township in the west, Caozhang Township in the north and Dongcun town in the south. Beiyijing township has four distinct seasons and mild climate. It mainly grows corn and cantaloupe, and the dairy industry is developed.

With a total population of more than 15000, the township has 8 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, with an administrative area of 3212 hectares (32 square kilometers), cultivated land area of 1864 hectares (27960 mu), and effective irrigation area of 1864 hectares. In 2010, the total income of rural economy reached 105.1 million yuan, the fiscal revenue of the township was 3.07 million yuan, the total grain output of the township was 12581 tons, the fresh milk output was 3177 tons, and the per capita net income was 4176 yuan.

Geographical composition
In August 1983, Yijing commune was transformed into beiyijing Township, which consists of eight villages: nanyijing village, beiyijing village, Beihu village, Zhangzhuang village, Anyi village, gaojiazhuang village, Caojiazhuang village and zhentan village. It is the first pilot Township in the economic system reform of Xinfu District. It is one of the main grain producing areas in the county. There are grain stations, supply and marketing cooperatives, credit cooperatives, food stations, hospitals, veterinary stations, posts and telecommunications, business offices. Other communes generally have such organizations.
