Datun Township, subordinate to nangong city, Xingtai City, Hebei Province, is located in the middle of nangong city, adjacent to Ji county and Zaoqiang County in the East, Dagao village and wangdaozhai Township in the south, Fenggang street in the west, Jizhou city in the north, and 7 km away from the people's Government of nangong city, with a total area of 56.4 square kilometers.
In 1934, Datun township was established; on May 8, 1961, Datun township was changed into Datun commune; in February 1984, Datun commune was changed into Datun township. In 1934, Datun township was established. In March 1940, it belonged to the second district.
