history

Chengguan Town, formerly known as Chaling Town, was formed in the Tang Dynasty. The Southern Song Dynasty has been ruled by Chaling County. In the Northern Song Dynasty, it developed with the rise of shipbuilding industry. The water comes from the south, and the cloud mountain is fixed in the north. There is an ancient city inside and a Xiongguan outside, so it gets its name. In Song Dynasty, "iron rhinoceros of Nanpu" was cast, also known as "rhinoceros city". It was changed into Chengguan town in 1955. Chengguan Town, known as "three roads to silence the throat", has become an important battlefield in history. During the Agrarian Revolutionary War, Mao Zedong, Tan Zhenlin and other proletarian revolutionaries once engaged in revolutionary activities here. The workers' and peasants' revolutionary army was 9 grams in Chaling City, and the first county workers' and peasants' army government in Jinggangshan revolutionary base was established here in 1927. CCTV's special program "Jinggangshan" on October 27, 1997 introduced that "the red regime in the Jinggangshan base area, the red regime in the Central Soviet Area, and even today's Zhongnanhai State Council all came out of the hut on the waterfront of Jinggangshan.". Economics
