Located in Beigou village, Shayu Township, Huairou District, Beijing, Huairou cliff inscriptions are located at the junction of Beigou village, Shayu Township, Beigou village and zhuangheu village in Beishan Valley, Huairou (20km northwest of the county). They are a scenic spot integrating ancient Great Wall, cliff inscriptions and natural landscape. It was opened to tourists in 2002. With a total area of 5.28 square kilometers and a vegetation coverage rate of 90%, the highest peak, commonly known as "Yaotai", is 744 meters above sea level. The ancient Great Wall was built in the Ming Dynasty. It lies on the top of the mountains in the north of the scenic area and is connected with the Mutianyu Great Wall.
