West Village

Xicun Creative Industrial Park, located at No.1-5 Beisen North Road, Qingyang District, is invested by Sichuan Meilun Industrial Co., Ltd., covering an area of nearly 100 mu, with a total construction area of about 170000 square meters and a total investment of about 1.45 billion yuan. The project started construction in 2008 and is expected to be completed and put into use in 2014.

West Village

Xicun (x ī C ū n) originally belonged to 27 villages of enzhoubao, Nanhai county. Because it is located in the west of the city, it is collectively referred to as Xicun. Later, it was transferred to Liwan District of Guangzhou. It is composed of Xichang, Xixi, Zengbu, dagangyuan and Heishan. In the northwest of Guangzhou City, close to the Pearl River tributary Zengbu river. It became a village in Tang Dynasty. Located in the west of Guangzhou City, it is known as "Teng township".

A brief introduction to village history

Xicun has more than 20 years of rattan mat production and management history. All materials are made of high quality rattan imported from Indonesia, and various raw materials such as sand silk, synthetic silk and rattan core have been developed. And a large number of weaving production rattan mat, rattan Da, such as: grinding green mat, Keng piece mat, Qingmi Da, Zhongyan Da, Keng piece Da, gupianda, twill DA and other styles of semi-finished products.

The existing worker's Stadium in Xicun was a factory of Xicun kiln in the late Tang Dynasty. At that time, Xicun kiln was exported to Southeast Asia. The porcelain was mainly white in color, and the glaze was mainly blue glaze. There were also beige, black, soy sauce and brown.

Xicun has many schools, such as Xiehe primary school and Huanshi West Road Primary School. The teaching environment is average.

geographical position

As early as the Anti Japanese period, many air raid shelters were hidden under the ground in dagangyuan and Xiehe primary schools, with a depth of 5 to 8 meters. The purpose of building air raid shelters was to avoid the bombing by Japanese warplanes at that time, but it was also inevitable that the casualties would be brought about by the war.

Located in today's Fortune Plaza and Lingnan Bay, it used to be a cement plant. This cement plant was the Guangzhou cement plant at that time. Due to the serious air pollution to the surrounding area, Guangzhou cement plant was once a cement plant. At that time, once the cement plant worked, it would float out of the chimney, which could be regarded as unfiltered lime. Overnight, the glass of the surrounding residents' houses was covered with a thick layer of ash. The complaints of residents in the West Village were getting louder and louder. The cement plant had a great impact on the rapid development of Guangzhou. The West Village, a suburb, was gradually surrounded by the urban area. Therefore, Guangzhou Environmental Protection Bureau decided to move immediately after the completion of the new Guangzhou cement plant (Shijing cement plant) in 2005. In 2011, Fortune Plaza and Lingnan Bay building were built in the former site of Guangzhou cement plant.
