Dahuangwei township is located 10 kilometers to the west of Yingxian city in Shanxi Province. It is adjacent to xingzhai Township in Yingxian County in the south, cangzhai Township in Yingxian County in the north and Shanyin County in the West. It is the west gate of Yingxian county. The township governs 18 administrative villages and 2 natural villages. There are 3120 households and 13299 people, covering an area of 20 square kilometers and 62000 mu of cultivated land. Sanggan River and Huangshui river run through the whole Township, belonging to Sanggan River irrigation area.

Industrial construction

The township is dominated by planting and breeding. The main varieties are corn, sunflower, sugar beet, vegetable, millet and yam, especially sunflower, and gourd oil. There are more than 1000 cows, 3000 pigs, 25000 sheep, 2 large-scale milk stations, 3 dairy farms and 2 pig farms. The transportation of the whole village is convenient. The xishuo line runs across the whole village. Especially from 2003 to 2005, all 18 administrative villages have been connected with cement (oil) roads, and some villages have been connected with cement roads. the land is vast. In addition to 62000 mu of cultivated land, there are nearly 30000 mu of wasteland and saline alkali land. Therefore, it has unique conditions for the development of aquaculture and various processing industries. the construction of ecological environment has made rapid progress. Since 2001, nearly 20000 mu of land has been returned to forests and grasslands, which not only benefits the masses, but also greatly improves the harsh environment of the Yellow River.

Future development

The characteristic industry is unique, especially the foundry industry of Zhengzhuang village is second to none in the whole township. The products have reached more than 30 varieties and are sold well in the whole North China region, Shandong Province and Shaanxi Province. In addition, there are more than 10 coal transfer stations, and castor processing industry is developing.
